My name is Corey Parlin, and I have raced and ridden most of my life. As a regional motocross rider and a top 20 GNCC and Enduro racer, I now share my passion by helping others as an offroad motorcycle trainer. Our ramp-up process is designed to empower you and equip you with the tools you need to succeed. Talk to us today about how our motocross trainers can support your progression and help you become a safer, better, more efficient rider with the guidance of an experienced motorcycle coach.
We utilize three levels in our coaching classes to cater to various skill sets. Level 1 is designed for newer riders who have not ridden much. In this class, we spend the first half in a flat grassy area, focusing on drills led by our motorcycle coach. The second half is dedicated to riding on trails or tracks. It is very important to us that the experience is inclusive and not intimidating for any rider. Level 2 targets trail riders who have experience with CCC single track and are looking to advance, like those who ride in the C class of racing. We typically spend about 90 minutes on drills with our MX Trainer, followed by the remainder of the session on the trail or track. Level 3 is for more advanced riders, specifically A/B riders who have tackled tighter, more technical trails or experienced Moto tracks. In this level, we allocate about 60 minutes to advanced techniques with our MX Coach and the rest of the time on the trail or track, ensuring that all participants can enhance their skills under the guidance of skilled motocross trainers.
I started this small business focusing mainly on racers, but now I'm attracting more recreational riders, which is fantastic. Today, a rider asked me what qualifies me to be a motorcycle coach. Wow, what a great question! Anyone considering signing up for any riding school should definitely ask this if they don't know already. I’m going to try to answer that for myself. I believe there are many excellent motocross trainers out there; I really admire AJ, Ryno, and of course my friend and mentor, Jeff Stanton. Growing up, I had great coaches and trainers, and their influence was invaluable. Given that many new customers may not know my background, I’ll provide a quick recap of my experience because I think it matters. When choosing an MX Coach or MX Trainer, consider their riding technique on the bike—does it reflect what you see from most professional riders? Does your potential coach teach the latest methods or stick to older ways? Can they demonstrate skills and also articulate how to do something and why it’s important? What have their results been in racing? Are they a certified @usmca_official coach? This isn’t a slight against any other coach, just my observation that these are all essential questions to ask. Be curious and ask questions!
